A wood-fire pizza spot is again staying in the suburbs for their new location.

The team at Pazzi Di Pizza have posted a new location coming to Bloomingdale this year. The listed address is 109 3rd Street in the village’s downtown. The estimated opening right now is sometime in July this year.

The first Pazzi location debuted in 2011 at 105 S York Street in Elmhurst. Following success at the restaurant, owner Ralph (Paul) Lappo opened a Park Ridge restaurant in 2018 at the Pickwick Theater, 1 S Prospect Avenue.

“Pazzi is serving fresh, intimate and truly authentic Italian cuisine, striving to make customers feel like they are at their grandmother’s table. All our dishes are homemade, and we pride ourselves on using only the very best quality ingredients,” says the description on their website.

At their Elmhurst location, Pazzi Di Pizza serves wood-fired pies like their margherita with mozzarella and fresh basil. Their paninis include options like chicken pesto, and polpette with meatballs and provolone cheese. Soups and salads are available before the entree.

Alcentro Trattoria was previously at the address, and closed in late 2025 after seven years in the suburb. The building is behind the Bloomingdale Park District Museum downtown, across the street from Dolce V Bakery & Gelato. Wolfden Brewing Company is just up the street, and this is close to the intersection of E Lake Street and S Bloomingdale Road.

Lappo is opening the new spot with his nephew, Marco Lappo. What Now Chicago has reached out to the team and is awaiting further comment.
