Go-carting paired with food and drinks will soon be an option at the mall.
The RPM Raceway team has announced their newest concept is coming to the former Wonderverse space at Oakbrook Center. Thai is the company’s first time expanding into the Chicagoland market. Right now, the company is anticipating a fall opening date.
“The Oak Brook location, built in partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment, will feature more than 45,000 square feet of multi-level karting across two tracks. With pro, adult and junior racing on a fleet of electric karts, plus gaming, food and beverage and 10,000+ square feet of flexible event space for birthday parties, corporate outings and team-building,” says a press release from RPM Raceway
RPM Raceway operates in the Northeast in cities like Long Island, New York, Jersey City and Stamford Connecticut. Locations of course offer go-cart rides with LED tracks designed by European track developers. The tracks have been raced by F1 legends.
For food, raceways also feature the RPM Bar + Grill, serving pub-style food and drinks. Food options include wings, burgers, fries and full pizzas. The full menu is available online.
The entertainment space is on the west side of Oakbrook Center, close to the AMC theater. Other chains nearby include Hollister, ALO and Aritzia. The mall is close to the Interstate 88 off-ramp.
